After purchasing Goldie Razor V2.8.4, you will receive an email from Pro-Scalper with the .ex5 file attached. The .ex5 format is the compiled, ready-to-run Expert Advisor format for MetaTrader 5. You do not need to install anything else — just the single file.

Save the file to a location you can easily find — your Desktop or Downloads folder. Do not rename it. The filename is used internally by MT5 and changing it will not break functionality, but keeping the original name makes troubleshooting easier if you ever need support.

If you purchased the bundle and received multiple .ex5 files, install each one separately following the same process for each EA. You can install all of them into the same Experts folder and then choose which to attach to which chart.

Important: .ex5 files are compiled binaries and cannot be "opened" like a text document. They are executable trading programs. If your antivirus flags the file, add it to your exceptions list — MT5 EA files are commonly flagged by overzealous antivirus software.

Open MT5. In the top menu go to File → Open Data Folder. A Windows Explorer window opens showing the MT5 data directory. Navigate to MQL5 → Experts. This is the only folder where MT5 will detect Expert Advisors.

Copy your .ex5 file into this folder. If MT5 is already running, do not drag the file while MT5 has the Experts folder open — copy it normally using Windows Explorer. After the file is in the correct folder, close and reopen MT5 completely. Do not just click refresh in the Navigator — a full restart is required for MT5 to detect newly added EA files.

After restarting, open the Navigator panel (Ctrl+N or View → Navigator). Under "Expert Advisors" you should see the Goldie Razor EA listed. If it does not appear, verify the file is in the correct MQL5/Experts folder (not a subfolder) and retry the restart.

Now enable AutoTrading. Look for the "Algo Trading" or "AutoTrading" button in the MT5 toolbar — it has a green play triangle icon. Click it until it shows as enabled (green, not grey). Without this, EAs load on charts but cannot open or modify any trades — they run in observation-only mode.

Note: if you are installing on a VPS, connect via Remote Desktop (RDP) first, then follow all the same steps inside the VPS environment. The file goes into the VPS's MT5 Experts folder, not your local PC's.

Open an XAUUSD M15 chart in MT5 (right-click Market Watch → XAUUSD → Chart Window, then set the timeframe to M15). From the Navigator, drag the Goldie Razor EA onto the chart. An input dialog will appear with all configurable parameters.

The most important setting to configure before clicking OK: lot size. Set this according to your account balance — 0.01 per $500 is the safe starting ratio as a beginner. Check the "Allow automated trading" checkbox (it is separate from the global AutoTrading toggle and must also be enabled).

Click OK. The EA will appear in the top-right corner of the chart with its name and a smiley face if everything is working correctly. The smiley face is your signal that the EA is initialised, connected to the broker, and ready to trade. If you see a sad face, check the Experts tab in the MT5 terminal for the specific error.

The EA will now monitor the market during active trading hours and place trades automatically according to its M15 breakout and H4 EMA filter logic. You do not need to do anything else. Monitor trades via the Trade tab in the MT5 terminal, or from the MT5 mobile app if the EA is running on a VPS.
