Vault
Breaker 2.0

Every session the market builds a range β€” a high, a low, and a few hours of indecision. Vault Breaker locks the two levels, fills the entry exactly where price breaks, then manages the trade with break-even, a take profit that moves with the trend, and a trailing stop.

What It Does

Measure the Range.
Trade the Break.

Vault Breaker measures the range between two hours you choose, locks the two levels when the window closes, and waits. Above the high the market has chosen up; below the low it has chosen down. There is no indicator and no prediction β€” only a level and what price does with it.

Stop orders sit exactly on the range high and low, so your fill is the level itself β€” not wherever price happens to be after a candle closes. Whichever level price reaches first becomes the trade, and the opposite order is cancelled in the same moment.

Fills on the level
Precision
Stop orders sit exactly on the range high and low β€” your fill is the level, not a late candle close.
Targets that move
Management
When price approaches the target, it steps further with the trend and a trailing stop takes over.
A table that recalculates
Evidence
Thirty days of the strategy under your current settings, redrawn the moment you change any input.
Sized to the range
Adaptation
Auto calibration derives every distance from the range the market is giving you right now.
Entry Logic

Two Modes. One Reason This EA Exists.

The default mode places both entries exactly on the levels the instant the range locks β€” no waiting for a candle to close past it.

Default

Entry at Range

A buy stop is placed on the range high and a sell stop on the range low the moment the levels lock. One fills, the other is cancelled. Your fill price is the level itself.

Stop orders on levelsOCO pairFill = the level

Entry on Close

Waits for a candle on your chosen signal timeframe to close beyond the level, then sends a market order β€” confirmation-based, at wherever price is by then.

Candle confirmationMarket orderFewer false starts

If price has already passed the level when the range locks β€” you attached the EA late, or a gap jumped it β€” a stop order cannot legally be placed there. By default the EA skips that direction for the day. Enable Market If Passed to enter at market instead. With Return Trade on, once the first trade closes the EA re-arms the opposite side β€” so a full round trip through the range can still be captured.

The Single Most Important Setting

Auto Calibration

A fixed distance does not travel. Auto calibration expresses every distance as a share of the range the market just gave you β€” on by default.

While auto calibration is on, the manual TP distance, BE offset, BE trigger, trailing distance and step are ignored completely. Edit the multipliers instead, or turn auto calibration off to use raw numbers.

Why It Exists

400 points is a modest target on one broker's US30 and four times the daily range on another β€” index quoting differs in decimals and volatility differs by season. Auto calibration keeps the strategy's shape when conditions change.

Three Mechanisms, Every Tick

Applied in this order on every tick, once the trade is open.

Mechanism 1

Break-Even

Two distances: the trigger is how far price must travel; the offset is where the stop then goes. Arms at entry + max(trigger, offset).

Trigger + offsetDrawn on chartEvery tick
Mechanism 2

Dynamic Take Profit

When price nears the target, the target is pushed further in the direction of the trend β€” up to a configurable number of times. A strong day keeps running instead of being cut at the first target.

Proximity triggerConfigurable pushesLogged every push
Mechanism 3

Trailing Stop

Starts on the first TP extension or once profit reaches a threshold. From then the stop follows price at a fixed distance, moving only in steps, and never backwards.

The range forms, the levels lock, price breaks the vault open β€” and the EA takes it from there: fill on the level, arm break-even, push the target, trail the stop.

Four Independent Filters

Each filter can block new entries on its own β€” no single point of failure.

News Filter

Runs on MetaTrader’s built-in economic calendar. Keyword events (Nonfarm, FOMC, CPI) are matched first, then High/Medium/Low impact β€” each with its own pause window before and after.

Daily Profit Target

Disabled, a fixed amount, or a percentage of the day’s starting balance. Optionally closes the open trade on reaching it β€” trading resumes at the next rollover.

Day Filter & End of Day

Per-weekday switches, weekends off by default. At the end-of-day stamp, positions close and pending orders cancel β€” unless the trade is negative and set to hold until profit.

Spread Ceiling

Refuses entries while the spread is wider than you allow. Off by default β€” worth setting on a broker with unstable spreads at the session open.

A History Table
That Recalculates

Thirty days of the strategy under your current settings, redrawn on chart and in a table the moment you change any input. Columns show direction, whether break-even and TP were reached, how many times the target extended, the exit mechanism, and the result on three lot sizes.

It is a simulation, not a record of executed trades β€” rebuilt from historical bars using your current settings, deliberately pessimistic on same-candle stop/target ties, and it does not model spread, slippage or swap. Verified numbers come from the Strategy Tester with real ticks.
