Every feature in V2.8 and V2.8.4 was built to reduce losses from failed breakouts and align every trade with the dominant trend direction.
H4 EMA Trend Filter
v2.8.4Before any trade opens, the EA checks the H4 EMA 50. When price is above the EMA, only BUY trades are allowed. When below, only SELL trades are allowed. Counter-trend breakouts — which statistically underperform — are blocked entirely. The filter applies to breakout, reversal, and recovery trades independently, and each side can be toggled.
Yellow Ladder Trailing Stop
v2.8Six equally-spaced reference lines divide the range. As a reversal or recovery trade moves in profit and price touches each yellow line, the stop loss jumps one level behind. Once on the ladder, the SL never moves backward — profit grows step by step. The ladder makes it impossible for a protected trade to turn from profit to loss.
Failed-Breakout Recovery
v2.8When a breakout order fills but price immediately reverses back into the range, the EA detects this at Edge Top (for BUY) or Edge Bottom (for SELL). It closes the losing breakout and opens a recovery trade in the opposite direction — turning a potential loss into a new opportunity with the yellow ladder as protection.
Pre-Fill Reversal
v2.8When price touches the breakout zone but never fills the pending order and then turns back, the EA opens a reversal trade before any fill ever happens. The reversal enters at Edge Top or Edge Bottom and uses the yellow ladder for all SL management — a clean counter-move with built-in protection.
Reversal Cooldown Guard
v2.8.4After a reversal or recovery trade closes, the same side is blocked from re-arming immediately. This stops chain losses where a closed reversal is re-opened because price is still in the trigger zone. Only a confirmed zone exit and clean re-entry resets the arm condition.
M15 Range + Range Size Filter
v2.8The range is detected on the M15 timeframe with configurable lookback. A min/max range size filter ignores ranges that are too tight (low volatility, bad R:R) or too wide (news-driven spikes). Only ranges within the quality threshold produce active pending orders.

H4 EMA Trend Filter
Counter-trend breakouts are the leading cause of losses in range breakout systems. The H4 EMA 50 filter eliminates them entirely by checking the dominant trend direction before any trade opens.
When price is above the H4 EMA, only BUY breakouts, BUY reversals, and BUY recovery trades are allowed — the SELL side is fully blocked. When price is below the EMA, the opposite applies.
Each side can be toggled independently. A configurable buffer in points prevents trading too close to the EMA line itself — avoiding whipsaws around the filter.
The Yellow Ladder System
Six equally-spaced reference lines divide the range. As price passes each one, the stop loss moves one level behind — creating a stepped, irreversible profit lock.
Lines Are Drawn
At range detection time, 6 yellow lines are placed at equal intervals inside the range. They serve as fixed reference points for the SL ladder for the entire duration of any reversal or recovery trade.
First Yellow Triggers
When price (moving in the trade direction) touches the first yellow line, the SL immediately moves to the entry or edge level — capturing at least breakeven before any reversal can undo the move.
SL Climbs the Ladder
Each subsequent yellow touch moves the SL to the previous yellow level. Once on the ladder, the SL never moves backward — every level touched locks in more profit permanently.
↓ Price falls (SELL trade in profit). SL follows one yellow level behind. Each level touched = more profit permanently locked.
Five-Layer Protection System
Each layer operates independently. If one fails to capture a move, the next catches it.
H4 EMA Trend Alignment
Counter-trend trades are eliminated before they open. The H4 EMA filter checks directional bias on every new trade attempt — BUY only above EMA, SELL only below. This reduces losses at their source rather than managing them after the fact.
Yellow Ladder Stop Loss
Six price levels act as a stepped SL ladder for reversal and recovery trades. Each yellow line touch moves the SL one level closer to price, locking progressively more profit. The ladder is irreversible — once moved up, the SL never retraces.
Breakeven + Fast Trail (Breakout Trades)
Breakout trades get automatic breakeven once a configurable profit threshold is hit. Near the take profit, fast trail mode removes the fixed TP and tightens the trailing distance, letting strong breakouts run further while remaining fully protected.
Reversal Cooldown Guard
After any reversal or recovery closes, the same side enters a cooldown state. Re-arming only happens after price leaves the trigger zone and re-enters cleanly. This prevents cascading losses from consecutive reversals in the same zone.
Range Filter + Spread Guard
Trades only open when the detected range is within min/max size limits AND the broker spread is below the configured maximum. Both conditions must pass simultaneously — otherwise all pending orders are held or cancelled.
