An EA statement is the most objective evidence of whether a trading system works. But reading one correctly requires knowing which numbers matter and what ranges indicate genuine performance versus inflated results. Most traders look only at net profit — missing six other metrics that tell the real story.

When evaluating any XAUUSD EA like Goldie Sniper EA PRO, the statement should be from a live account (not demo), cover at least 6–12 months, and include enough trades to be statistically meaningful. Everything else is a cosmetic detail if these foundations are not present.

This guide walks through all eight key metrics, what healthy ranges look like, and what specific numbers disqualify an EA immediately — so you can evaluate any statement in under five minutes with confidence.

The Eight Metrics That Matter

01

Net Profit %

Express net profit as a percentage of starting equity, not just raw dollar amount. A $5,000 gain on a $10,000 account (50%) is very different from a $5,000 gain on a $100,000 account (5%). Monthly % return is the most useful comparison metric across different account sizes.

02

Profit Factor

Gross profit divided by gross loss. Above 1.3 is the minimum for a scalping EA. Below 1.0 means the EA loses money overall. Very high values (3+) in backtests usually indicate overfitting — the strategy memorised history but will not perform on new data.

03

Maximum Drawdown

The largest peak-to-trough equity decline. Below 10% of account equity is excellent. 10–20% is acceptable for aggressive scalpers. Above 20% suggests excessive risk per trade or martingale-style compounding. Always check equity drawdown, not just balance drawdown.

04

Win Rate

The percentage of trades that closed in profit. For XAUUSD scalping, 55–70% is realistic and healthy. Above 85% is suspicious — it often accompanies very tight take-profit targets (many tiny wins followed by catastrophic losses) or martingale logic.

05

Recovery Factor

Net profit divided by maximum drawdown. Above 2 means the EA earned twice its worst drawdown in profit — a positive risk-adjusted indicator. Below 1 is concerning. This metric penalises EAs that take excessive risk to earn their returns.

06

Consecutive Losses

The longest losing streak. Use this to calibrate your comfort level: if maximum consecutive losses are 8 and you trade 1% risk per trade, a bad streak costs 8% of account equity. If that is psychologically tolerable for you, the EA is a viable candidate.

07

Average Trade Duration

Scalping EAs should close most trades within seconds to minutes. Very long average trade durations in a "scalping" EA suggest it holds losers open waiting for recovery — a sign of no stop-loss or a very wide SL — which is a risk management concern.

08

Trade Count

Statistical significance requires 100+ trades at minimum. Fewer than 50 trades means results could easily be chance. If a statement claims excellent performance across only 20 trades, the sample is too small to draw any meaningful conclusions from.

Immediate Disqualifiers

Win rate above 90%

Almost certainly martingale or extremely short sample. Not sustainable.

Maximum drawdown above 30%

Excessive risk-taking that will eventually blow the account.

Profit Factor above 5 in a backtest

Overfitting. Will collapse immediately on live data.

Fewer than 50 trades

Statistically meaningless. Could be complete chance.

Demo account statement only

No slippage, no real spread, no real pressure. Completely unreliable.

No stop-loss on any trade

Catastrophic risk. One adverse spike destroys the account.

Applying This to Pro-Scalper EAs

When evaluating Goldie Sniper EA PRO, you should see a live-account statement with realistic win rates in the 60–75% range, Profit Factor between 1.3 and 1.8, monthly drawdown periods that recover, and trade counts well above 100 across multiple months. You will also see months that are flat or mildly negative — because that is what real trading looks like.

The Blind Sniper X PRO trades less frequently (1–3 per day) so statements will show lower trade counts over short periods — requiring longer evaluation windows to build statistical confidence. The Goldie Razor V2.8.4 provides medium frequency across M15 sessions.

Contact proscalperea@gmail.com to request current performance data before purchase. Being able to answer specific statement questions before money changes hands is itself one of the most important trust signals any EA developer can provide.
